Water is an imperative for human health and well-being. Millions around the world lack adequate access to clean water and proper sanitation. WUSC works in rural and peri-urban communities to improve access to water and sanitation services. We do this by strengthening municipalities to expand, operate and maintain their facilities, as well as working with communities directly to access affordable services.
WUSC ensures access to these essential services by:
- improving waste water treatment and the drinking water supply system in Peru;
- educating citizens on safe hygiene practices in Peru;
- strengthening community management and maintenance of water and sanitation services in Ghana.
