Extend a warm Canadian welcome to an international student through WUSC!
Each year, WUSC administers scholarships for students from developing countries who are coming to study at Canadian universities or colleges. You can help us help them adjust to living in Canada as a WUSC Homestay Host.

What does a Homestay Host do?
As a host to an incoming student, you will provide room and board for a period of 7-15 days during the latter half of August.
More importantly, you will help familiarize the student with Canadian culture, your city, and their campus. Homestay Hosts also help these students settle into a new environment by showing them how to use public transit, purchase groceries and use a bank machine.
You can even offer to cook one of your favourite dishes, or learn one of theirs. One of the major benefits of being a Homestay Host is the opportunity to learn more about the student's culture. Enrich your life by learning about theirs!
Hosts receive a $300 honorarium to cover the cost of food and incidentals during the student's stay.
