Happy World Water Day!

Safe and clean drinking water and sanitation is an essential human right. According to the United Nations, nearly 900 million people do not have access to safe drinking water.

WUSC has worked in the water and sanitation sector of Peru since 1982. Its projects, based on community participation, have improved access to water and sanitation services in 16 cities, 201 urban shantytowns and 205 rural communities.

Since 2010, 21 Canadians and 5 Peruvians have volunteered with WUSC in Peru through the Uniterra Program.

Learn more about how Uniterra volunteers are working alongside local partners to provide clean drinking water to urban and rural communities across Peru.
