“Youth have to drive the development agenda. They are an untapped resource that we must listen to,”
- Robyn Plasterer
The 2012 International Forum brought close to 400 people from across Canada and around the world. All the participants came to discuss the future of the world’s youth and how they can play an active and important role in international development. On the theme, “Youth Leading Change: Aspirations to Action:” the forum brought top issues to the forefront. From gang violence in Latin America, to the young feminist movement in Egypt, to the new lives of refugee students in Canada, youth voices from across the globe were represented. Many people left not only more knowledgeable about key development issues but more driven to make youth voices heard!
