Food is a basic human right, but Afghanistan still relies on outside aid for this basic need. Years of conflict and natural causes, such as drought have severely hurt the agriculture industry. For farmers in southern Afghanistan, their livelihoods depend on being able to produce crops, but they have little in the way of resources and new farming technology.
