Volunteer with WUSC - Overview
From a university or college campus in Canada to a rural village in a developing country, there are many different ways you can volunteer your time, knowledge, energy and skills and help change the world through WUSC. In Canada From joining a WUSC Local Committee to sponsoring a refugee student to advocating for fair trade, we offer unique and exciting volunteer opportunities for post-secondary students, faculty and staff on campus. Overseas Volunteers are key to the work WUSC does in developing countries. You can choose from: - Uniterra - Canada's largest international volunteer program, it recruits qualified individuals to work in partnership with local organizations in 13 developing countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America.
- Students Without Borders™ - an initiative that offers university and college students exciting volunteer learning opportunities in a developing country during an academic term.
- Leave for Change - enables employees from participating organizations to transform part of their annual leave into a 2 or 3 week volunteer assignment in a developing country.
- International Seminar - Each summer 20 post-secondary students from across Canada join 20 students from the global South for the International Seminar, a unique six-week overseas educational experience that will change your life.
In addition, WUSC also recruits a small number of cooperants for our Haiti Volunteer Cooperation Program. |
