Last October, more than 80 students and supporters from across Canada participated in the country-wide Ride for Refuge event to raise awareness and funds for WUSC’s Student Refugee Program (SRP). Thanks to your incredible efforts, we raised over $24,000 in support of the SRP!
On October 1, WUSC is participating once again in the Ride for Refuge. Fourteen teams have already been created with a total of 58 riders across Canada. Our goal this year is to raise $30,000 for the SRP. With your help, we can provide more young refugees with life-changing opportunities to continue their education in Canada and build a better future for themselves and their families.
The SRP is the only program of its kind to combine resettlement with opportunities for higher education. This year, the program welcomed 150 young refugees to Canada through active partnerships with over 75 Canadian campuses. Since 1978, we have empowered over 1,600 young refugees from 37 countries of origin to continue their education in safe and supportive environments in Canada.

Your participation in this year’s Ride for Refuge will help make a life-changing, direct, and positive impact in the lives of dozens more young refugees like Arash.
