When Young People Thrive, Communities Transform: WUSC’s 2024-2025 Annual Report

This year, we took bold steps to turn vision into action. With our global network of over 250 partners, we directly reached over 200,000 people across more than 25 countries. So, what does impact look like?

  • 60,000 children gaining improved quality of education;
  • 150,000 people equipped with the skills to access jobs, launch businesses, lead in their communities, and thrive in all aspects of life;
  • 26,000 young people affected by forced displacement continuing their education and pursuing economic opportunities;
  • 273 refugees resettled to Canada and the United States; and
  • 151 volunteers advancing community-led solutions that promote gender equality, climate resilience, and inclusive economic opportunities with 88 partner organizations across 11 countries.

Behind these numbers are powerful stories of resilience: girls in Mali are staying in school through cash transfers;  women in Ghana are breaking barriers in traditionally male-dominated trades; women in Jordan are opening childcare centers that not only create jobs but also enable more women to return to the workforce; young people in the Caribbean are advancing sustainable agriculture; youth in Kenya’s Kakuma Refugee Camp are pursuing education and livelihoods; and refugees are accessing education and employment opportunities in Canada, rebuilding their lives and giving back to their communities.

The 2024–2025 Annual Report is more than numbers—it’s a testament to what’s possible when young people are given the chance to thrive and belong. Explore the stories, meet the changemakers, and see how together we’re building a brighter future.
