As a Youth Employment and Entrepreneurship Advisor, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business and Technical Universities and Vocational Training Centers. This position is designed for a dynamic individual who can leverage their expertise in private sector engagement to enhance TAWASOL project outcomes and contribute to the achievement of the project’s goals.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Participate in development and implementation of the project’s strategies to ensure implementation of the annual work plan within the scope of work
- Work closely with Youth Employment and Entrepreneurship and TVET Engagement Managers to integrate private sector partnerships into project planning and implementation, ensuring synergy and alignment with overall objectives.
- Facilitate linkages between TVET institutions and employers, fostering communication and collaboration
- Identify partners for entrepreneurship support services through Career Development Centers and Vocational Training Centers
- Provide administrative support, including scheduling, correspondence management, and record-keeping.
- Participate in pre-assignment training
- Participate in at least 3 public engagement initiatives before, during, or after the assignment. Volunteers will be equipped with the tools, training, and support to achieve these goals. Volunteers will also have one virtual check-in with the Public Engagement Officer throughout the course of their assignment.
- Submit reports as required by the partner organization and by WUSC.
Experience and Qualifications
- Degree and/or training in public relations or relevant fields such as education, business administration, or (industrial relations) required – coursework in human resources development is required
- Minimum 6 months of relevant experience or demonstrated commitment to the cause and a willingness to learn and contribute
- Proven knowledge of TVET and labor market dynamics is a plus
- Experience in building relationships with employers and stakeholders is a plus.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skill
- Minimum two (2) years relevant professional experience in your field of expertise.
- A commitment to gender equality, youth inclusion, and international volunteering.
- Flexibility, adaptability, excellent interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity
- Experience with group facilitation and trainings, including content development considered an asset
- Experience living and working internationally considered an asset.
- Written and oral fluency in English.
