Global Resiliency & Volunteerism – A Celebration
To celebrate International Volunteer Day, Canadians around the world will be invited to contribute to the dialogue on the impact of international volunteers.
This double virtual event will take place on December 9th and draw attention to important issues that affect the most vulnerable. The core group of 13 volunteer cooperation organizations will come together to dialogue with Canadians on the theme “Global Resiliency & Volunteerism – A Celebration”.
Part I will be an engaging panel discussion with experts in the field and Q&A from the audience.
Part II will be an intimate discussion called the Human Library with international volunteers who will share their lived experiences with the audience and engage in discussions around 3 core themes: gender equality, climate justice, and diversity & inclusion.
We aim to:
- Raise awareness of the importance of international solidarity in the context of an ongoing global pandemic.
- Celebrate the volunteer cooperation program by showcasing the accomplishments of the sector and future opportunities.
- Highlight the volunteer cooperation program through volunteer personal stories.
We hope you can join us for this moment of sharing, and take part in these important conversations.
