Ignite the Flame of Education

As an alum of WUSC’s Student Refugee Program, I resonate very well with the core belief “Education changes the world’. The unwavering support from WUSC has ignited countless hearts and empowered a lot of generations of refugee youth.

This September is the Student Refugee Program Awareness Month. It is time for us who know about the program to tell others about it, leaders and decision-makers in our communities who could help it to grow. And for those of us who care, to step up our support.

Education is the foundation upon which dreams are built and yet millions of refugees around the world are deprived of these essential rights. As you read this, countless young minds are yearning for education and eager to break free from illiteracy. We cannot afford to turn a blind eye to their aspirations. 

Education is a necessity for survival in our current fast paced and growing world. It has equipped individuals like me and thousands of others with the tools we need to overcome adversities. By supporting WUSC’s Student Refugee Program, you have the power to make a profound impact on the lives of countless refugees, breaking the chains of poverty and opening doors of opportunity.

Your generous support serves as torchbearer, lighting the way for those lost in the darkness of limited resources and inaccessible education systems.
