WUSC International Volunteer Information Session: Spotlight on Ghana!
Volunteering internationally is an experience unlike any other. You are not only able to better the world by contributing your skills to development, but you are placed right at the heart of local communities where you have the opportunity to immerse yourself in a new culture while giving back in a meaningful way.
Since 1977, WUSC has provided over 10,000 Canadians with high quality, rewarding, and safe international volunteer opportunities. Together, we foster youth-centered solutions for improved education, economic, and empowerment opportunities to overcome inequality and exclusion in over 15 countries around the world.
Are you interested in joining our global network of individuals passionate about making a positive difference in the world? Join us on November 24th from 12pm to 1pm EST for a virtual information and Q&A session curated for Canadians and permanent residents to learn more about the importance of international volunteering and how you can get involved.
During the event, you will:
- Hear the firsthand accounts of international volunteering from a Canadian volunteer currently on assignment in Ghana
- Hear about the inspiring WUSC partner organizations that are dedicated to improving economic opportunities and gender equality for youth in Ghana from a WUSC program officer in Ghana
- Learn from one of our volunteer recruitment officers about the recruitment and pre-departure processes every volunteer undergoes before heading on assignment
- Have the opportunity to ask all of your international volunteering questions to our esteemed panel of speakers
